I think the area is popular with off-roaders and fishermen. Before dark I saw a few kids on motorcycles. But once it got dark it was really quiet. Manzanita Lake Camp Ground in Lassen Volcanic was full so I camped here because it was the closest of the Forest Service Campgrounds to Lassen Volcanic. I would guess that the dispersed campsites would be empty...

Manzanita Lake Camp Ground in Lassen Volcanic was full so I camped here because it was the closest of the Forest Service Campgrounds to Lassen Volcanic. I would guess that the dispersed campsites would be empty during the week. The hikes in the north section of Lassen Volcanic NP are the easiest and the prettiest. See the museum in the park and hike Manzanita Lake counter-clockwise to see Mt Lassen in the background and the lake and trees in the foreground. Check the park website to see if the road goes all the way through. It was closed in mid-June because of snow and downed trees.10 months ago Big Pine Campground
