Tip for Other Campers:
Bring food, closest restaurant is a small brewery with a food truck or cook tent on rotation. Big stores almost close by. Several historical sites and limestone caves are great to visit. Gold Rush history predominates the area.

We had a nice pull through site. Lots of trees, nobody on the other side of us. We camped at Gold Country Campground Resort in a Travel Trailer.

- John&Mary The park is very close to the National Nuclear Museum which is very interesting. On the other side of Albuquerque there is also the National Petroglyph Park which provided a good hike and viewing of ancient art works. Old Town Albuquerque provides a fun time of souvenir shopping and dining. We tried to ride the tram up Sandia Peak and eat at the 3Ten restaurant but it was closed due to high winds.1 month ago Albuquerque KOA Journey

Double check your GPS coordinates. Ours was in accurate and sent us down a road without any turnarounds and neural cutbacks.

Nice campsite. Plenty of room. Great for walking dogs on nearby trails. Pool and games for the family. We camped at Gold Country Campground Resort in a Motorhome.
