“Good place to stop on way to Death Valley ”
Nightly Rate: $30 USD
This is a gravel lot behind the lodge with many sites, FHUs, and there is apparently always availability. We were the only ones there. Never met the camp host,but the lodge secretary was very nice....

Tip for Other Campers:
The small museum is worth a visit especially as it's also the visitors center and they had so much info and advice for Death Valley and driving i and out of the park amd which routes to take. Desert Brew for very good coffee

Tip for Other Campers:
Lots of museums, hiking trails and check out the Wild horses! Ridgecrest is a very clean friendly community with lots of mainstream shopping stores. Midway Cafe great place to eat.

- Dan McClung Tokyo house for a good meal. La Fiesta for Mexican and Ales Steakhouse for beef. Maturango museum and China Lake Weapons Center museum are in town and are great for family outings. Neglected Elks Lodge. Had the entire park to ourselves. The park has been neglected and the facilities are not up to elks standards We camped at Ridgecrest Elks Lodge #1913 in a Fifth Wheel.
