“Nice views of the valley and race track”
Nightly Rate: $45 USD
This campground was a pleasant surprise. By looking at the web site, you get the impression this is a very austere location, but that is inaccurate. The sites are around a hill that overlooks the...

“Nice location, difficult maneuvering”
Nightly Rate: $43 USD
I give Laguna Seca 3 out of 5 stars for the following reasons:Things I did not like:1. Lots of very tight turns. WIth a Tundra and a 30ft travel trailer, some of the turns in the camp site...

Tips from campers about Laguna Seca Recreation Area
- ExplorationDG If you like Mexican food, Peralta's in across the street and is fantastic.1 year ago Governor Jim Hogg City Park
- Travels with Tex Be sure to check out the Speakeasy Coffee house in downtown Quitman (about a mile away). An old hotel, brothel, dry goods store turned into a coffee house, meeting space. Mineola is about 320 minutes away and has a lot for the railroad fan, with an Amtrak station modeled after an old time depot and with a museum inside. And if you're coming in from I-20 on Hwy 69, look for the Cadillac Ranch east, just outside of Lindale.6 years ago Governor Jim Hogg City Park

“Strictly here for the track ”
Nightly Rate: $70 USD
We came here for a 3 day car event at the track. The sites are built on a hillside. Quite a climb to the top. At the top, there are primitive hiking trails as the track butts up to federal lands. My...

Tip for Other Campers:
Whole Foods is nearby. Traffic is a mess at any time of day.
“Beautiful surroundings, on top of a hill, plenty of Oak trees!”
Nightly Rate: $62 USD
Be sure to bring potable water. Every one of the campsites does not have potable water! The campground is nice with plenty of space between rigs. A 15% grade up a hill to access the facility. We...

“nice location to see the race track from your own backyard”
Nightly Rate: $54 USD
Great location, away from the morning fogs on the coast, yet close enough to the ocean to enjoy the Monterey peninsula. Quiet at night, exciting during the days with the sound of cars racing (if you...
