Tip for Other Campers:
The original Rubio's fish taco restaurant is close by (Taco Tuesdays!), and most amenities such as Von's grocery store, restaurants, drug stores, etc are west on Garnet, a short drive away. In-N-Out is on the road to the campground, but its line is into the street virtually all the time, so much so that they've apparently hired their own traffic attendant...

There are a lot of fun things to do in the area and most are conveniently located. Recommend Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institute in La Joya, Belmont Park in San Diego, the San Diego Zoo. Do NOT recommend Sea World. It has become a grossly overpriced, commercialized tourist trap with poor treatment of the animals, understaffed and underwhelming at best. Go...
