Tips from campers about Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve
- MSperle If you're new to Arizona beware of the Cholla cactus, commonly referred to as the jumping chollas. There are many of them around the campground and they easily attach themselves to you if you or your pet get within close proximity. Carry tweezers to ensure you can pull out the stickers if you happen to get too close. Definitely hike the Slate trail to see the Michelin Man cactus.2 years ago Cave Creek Regional Park
- Fontben Don't come here if you expect to have fun biking in the trails. Lots of stores, restaurants and places to visit in Cave Creek.3 days ago Cave Creek Regional Park
- MMaike Be sure to book a sunset ride with the Cave Creek Trail rides! You wont be disappointed.1 week ago Cave Creek Regional Park

So many things to do nearby, we stayed 45 days and did something every day.
Electric is very expensive (about 10 dollars a day)
