“Woodsy, close to South Lake Tahoe”

Older campground that is being renovated. A bit pricey, especially for current condition. A bit tight for larger rigs: the host guided us around a turn to our site and we almost took out a small tree....

Best campground, not a parking lot. Lots of trees! Great staff. We camped at Lake Tahoe KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

- rifiki58 If you want to avoid the heavy traffic on Hwy 50, leave the campground and go to the first signal, turn right on Pioneer. You will miss all of the traffic, and end up on Hwy 50, North of South Lake. Ernie's restaurant is a must! Great food, service, and the portions are amazing. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault. If you go to Viator online, you can book the 2-hour sailing cruise on Lake Tahoe. The company is called Sail Tahoe Blue Sailing Charters. The crew was VERY nice, and accommodating.
