“Beautiful campground on a lake ”

This is a nice campground on a lake that is fairly quiet. Sites are spaced out enough and surrounded by trees. There is a lot of hiking trails around (some need to drive to them). We camped here...

Tip for Other Campers:
There is a water filling station in Bailey (off of 285). Rates (2023): $.05 per gallon. There is a 2 in side and a garden hose side. You must bring your own hose to use. The 2in side only accepts tokens. Tokens can be purchased at Bailey Propane. The Garden hose sides accepts quarters.
“Amazing Lakeside Sites”

This place has amazing lake side sites with so many fun activities to do. We camped at Castle Mountain Recreation Wellington Lake in a Motorhome.

Tip for Other Campers:
The dirt road in is long and has a lot of washboard. Take it slow and plan extra time me to get in and out.

- rudyhehn The canoe rentals are a lot of fun. Mazinaw rock is awesome to see by land and even better by canoe The hilltop trail is accessible only by canoe or ferry. Tip for Other Campers:
Make sure that you drive to Bailey, CO to pick up County Road 68. Do not go down Pine Valley Road. The pavement on CR68 ends after a couple of miles and then you have another 5 miles on a fairly rough, washboardy, dirt road. It took us about an hour and 15 minutes from turning off of US-285 in Bailey to reach the CG (I drove really slowly!).
Camped here in late fall! Nobody around!Pay attention to directions provided by the campground. Google \ Apple maps will make you take another road which is pretty dodgy for folks pulling a traile....
