Tip for Other Campers:
By all means go across the street and take a trip with their rafting company, Echo Canyon River Expeditions! First rate organization and well run, hopefully the same mentality will turn the campground around a bit more. We did the half day Big Horn Sheep Canyon, prefect for all, even those with younger children, ours are 8 and 10. Our guide was fantastic.

The gift shop/office doesn't have a lot of inventory, yet is very large and spacious.
We probably would have spent some coin in there had they had more touristy Royal Gorge gift shop stuff for sale.
