Tips from campers about Estes Park Campground at Marys Lake
- Linball Definitely take the 2.3mi, very easy Waterton Park Townsite Loop trail. It passes by Cameron Falls, the beach, an overlook of the Prince of Wales hotel as well as the International Peace Park memorial. It took us about 45min and was simply lovely! Lower Bertha Falls trail was also a nice moderate trail. It continues on to Upper Bertha lake but that turns the 3.5mi tike into ~9mi hike and we didn't have the time. The hike up to the Lower Falls is really pretty with amazing views of the town and lake. We saw 2 black bear up in the hills above the trail! Bear's Hump is also a great way to overlook the town and view down the lake at all the mountains. While we were there it was a little smokey from all the wildfires but still nice.2 years ago Crooked Creek Campground
- DC873CF Cardston is the closest city, so shop for groceries, fuel, etc., there.8 months ago Crooked Creek Campground
- MJB Carriage Museum in Cardston, Waterton of course. Just across the border to Glacier NP in Montana.9 months ago Crooked Creek Campground

Question:
We have reservations for June in our travel trailer. Was curious about food lockers and bears. Should we plan on storing all food in locker? What about food in fridge? Cosmetics? At 10 pm dog usually has to do his business. Any special precautions? Silly questions maybe, but appreciate other campers input....

Tip for Other Campers:
Just a 5 minute drive off the mountain into Estes Park and closer to entrance to the Park itself. Estes Park is a fantastic little town with multiple interesting shops, a beautiful walkway with shops along the river, and of course the Stanley Hotel.
