Cleanliness

Easy to access, use the main Camp Hale Memorial Entrance (no Camp Hale Pond Rd). No check in, but the site was marked reserved with our name. The campground loop is paved, the sites are gravel and...

Tip for Other Campers:

Leadville is about 20mins away, has a quaint downtown with shops and good restaurants. We rode the Leadville and Colorado Southern Railroad which provided gorgeous views of the Arkansas River valley and informative history of the area.
We did a trail ride with Half-Moon Outfitters and had a fabulous morning ride.

This campground is easily accessible from Hwy 24, many spots were more than enough for 40ft motorhome with tow vehicle. Just be prepared because there is NO CELL signal AT ALL for Verizon and ATT. You...
