“Excellent lake! Public access so it's busy but worth it. ”
Nightly Rate: $45 USD
Campsites were nice. Some are better than others because of their location next to the lake. We camped at Carter Lake South Shore Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
There is a fill station and a dump station about a mile prior to the park. There are water spigots in various locations in the park

Site was great! Easy access to the water. Rangers were available and around most the time. We camped at Carter Lake South Shore Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips from campers about Carter Lake South Shore Campground
- rd9999 Hanna Park is convenient to good restaurants. Check out Safe Harbor Seafood, Engine 15 Brewing (great Cuban sandwich and excellent beer) and Metro Diner for breakfast or lunch. Or take the nearby ferry across the St. John's River to Sandollar Restaurant for some great seafood.7 years ago Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park
- Miles and Smiles Site 269 looks like a pull-through, but it's not. We pulled in nose first so that we'd have privacy in our sitting area, but you could back in if you prefer. Tip for Other Campers:
Carter Lake Marina has essentials you may need and is only a short drive away. We didn't use them but across from the marina are bath houses with showers.
The site itself was $25/night and had to pay a park entrance fee of $10/vehicle/day as well. There is a dump station at Carter Lake that is free of charge.
Nightly Rate: $42 USD
Beautiful and clean. Can get windy in the evening. We camped at Carter Lake South Shore Campground in a Travel Trailer.
