Tips from campers about Glacier Basin Campground

  • sagersef If you have a larger rig, look at these sites: B loop - 34, 38, 46, 54, D Loop 131, 140, 147, 149 (all these were open areas). If none of those are available, Id go for A 14 or 18, C 75 or 111. Both of those loops have really tight turns making it more difficult for larger rigs to navigate.
  • Davishouse2 Groceries and Fuel available 10 minutes away in Estes Park. Nice hikes both from the campground as well as via the Transportation Center across the street. It takes you to some good hikes ever 15 minutes as well as directly in to Estes Park every 30 minutes.
  • Moshe Jacobson Hike to Sprague lake right from the campground! Walk across the street to the park and ride to pick up the buses. Dont try to park at bear lake trail head.
