Trinidad has a neat downtown with lots of great old buildings many of which are underutilized. Check out the A.R. Mitchell Museum on Main Street. Las Animas Grill had superb food in a great environment with a fun vibe. Rob, the host, server, (owner?), and creator of the fabulous pork pinwheel appetizer has a great sense of humor and we had fun sparring with...

Tip for Other Campers:
Walmart and Safeway in town just a few minutes away. Almost every place we ate at was good, some pricier than others. Must try Nana and Nano. A truly Italian deli and shop. Plenty of fishing and hiking around the park....
