I would have preferred to pull in to face the water so that I could enjoy the view looking out the front of our RV rather than backing in. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Motorhome.

Question:
Have you trimmed the tree branches at your entrance that other have complained about striking the top of their roofs. If you say you are a big rig RV park, tree limbs should not be hitting the sides or roof of a big rig motorhome...

We visited Gillette Castle State Park and the town of Mystic from here. Both were short trips.
