“Its 4.2 miles off route 40. This is our 2nd winter coming here. This year we are staying 4 months. ”

Our site is spacious and has a fire ring over looking the pond. The is plenty of extra room for our EZ-up, motorcycle and our bike storage tent. We enjoyed the campground and area so much last year we...

Tip for Other Campers:
Biking, hiking and exploring Ocala National Patk. Theres a lot of springs in the area to check out. Pet friendly and honestly not a lot of children here, mostly visiting. Theres a small grocery store and Dollar General within 5 miles. Bigger stores in Deland about 30 mins away. There are local restaurants to enjoy in Astor.
“Relaxing on the St. John River”

We stayed at Astor Landing for 2 months at a rate of approx. $1000 a month with a 10 percent Military discount. This is by no means, an RV resort. Around 50 sites, with about 40 being full time...

Astor has a couple of great mom and pop restaurants. Sparky's for pizza and meatloaf on Thursdays. Essex for seafood. Rose Garden for breakfast. VFW for happy hour(open to the public) There are lots of natural springs to visit in this area of Florida.

- Keith Rietz Naples and ft myers not too far away and a Publix just down the highway.3 days ago Collier-Seminole State Park
- Kelly_349 Eat at Hoots restaurant and take an airboat tour with captain Mitchs. Awesome time. Saw lots of alligators.1 week ago Naples / Marco Island KOA Holiday
- Milo Adventures Shark Valley Visitor Center at Everglades National Park - great bike/walk path to an observation tower. There is also a tram, go early during warm weather otherwise, during cooler times mid day sun would be perfect. Bring your camera and make this a destination.2 weeks ago Collier-Seminole State Park

Tip for Other Campers:
Reserve your site early as far in advance as possible. Astor, FL is small, only stop light is for the draw bridge. BUT there is a full service market and a ACE hardware. Both have propane refill stations at reasonable price. Some great family restaurants, Sparkys, BLD, Rose Garden, BL, Essex, for seafood, LD and Drifters for the view. Be sure to try the...

Near the Ocala National Forest, 4 miles on a dead end road on the St. John River. We stayed as it was about an hour radius from visiting friends and family. A mix of long term and short term campers....
