“Quiet State Park with tall trees”
Nightly Rate: $18 USD
We drive a 30' Class A and spot #16 is a pull-through with enough room for our Jeep Cherokee. The camping area looks like it was recently renovated as everything looked nice and somewhat new. Perhaps...

Tip for Other Campers:
The town of Chiply has a big Walmart, a Tractor Supply, a Piggly Wiggly, even a Goodwill store along with restaurants and Dollar stores. All of these are just a few miles up the road from the park. The park brochure they give you has an error. The hiking trail to the falls says 4 miles, but it's more like maybe 1.5 miles. Also, at the time of this writting,...

Unfortunately we were only passing thru and stayed for 1 night. The grounds and park are beautiful. They have a swimming pond that would be great in the summer. We took a few hikes to the waterfall...

Tips from campers about Falling Waters State Park
- Vdoman The town of Chiply has a big Walmart, a Tractor Supply, a Piggly Wiggly, even a Goodwill store along with restaurants and Dollar stores. All of these are just a few miles up the road from the park. The park brochure they give you has an error. The hiking trail to the falls says 4 miles, but it's more like maybe 1.5 miles. Also, at the time of this writting, if you walk along beside the lake to get to the falls, the boardwalk is closed for repairs just before you get to those falls, forcing you to go all the way back around to the parking lot for a more direct approach. Advice when we checked in would have helped and a big sign would have been nice. My wife, with a bad knee, looked at that 4 miles and noped out. So I drove her there. Florida Caverns is a short drive away. Olle's Restaurant (by reservations only) was a somewhat unique German dining experience. It is located in this old resort with cabins that overlook a lake (Compass Lake in the Hills). We were there during it's off season, but the resort looks like it was once nice but it's glory days are over. There is no signage for Olle's so it's really confusing to realize it's in the resort lobby. I think it's run by a husband and wife and they will only service four to five tables at a time. So reservations are kind of hard to get. Expect to wait a few days to get in and be flexible with your time. Our meals were delicious and the price was shockingly inexpensive. I have T-Mobile Home Internet and the speed was surprisingly fast. Generally 200 to 300 down (peaked at 600), and 20 to 30 up.2 days ago Falling Waters State Park

“Clean and a good place for an overnight”

We stayed one night in a motorhome. The bath house was clean and the park was spotless. There's a few trails around the park and pond, however, they are not long. We walked them and then walked the...

“Nice small campground ”

Very nice spot in a forest setting. Only 24 sites, so hard to get a site. Hilly with trails and a waterfall that drops into a sinkhole. Would stay there again. Site 24 was 4" out of level side to...
