Causeway Cove is primarily a marina, but they have 10 RV spots as well. (Two have full time residents.) The sites are extra long with TONS of space in between. You wont find organized activities,...

Tips from campers about Causeway Cove Marina

  • Tbrin8412 Bring your hiking shoes or bike and enjoy the scenery. I would advise avoiding coming highway 19 from Maggie Valley, we went around and came up 441 which was a much more enjoyable drive
  • Joseph R Hunt We use Trip wizard/RV life and it routed us from Ashville to Cherokee via Hwy 19 (Maggie Valley) instead of using Hwy 74 from Waynesville Hwy 74 to Cherokee which is safer for an RV. First time here several years ago, we took Hwy 19 over the Soco Mountain and it was not RV safe (narrow road in some places a 7-9 o/o up or down gradient. Much safer to use Hwy 74. We recognized that RV Life was going to send us over Hwy 19 and we stopped and turned around and went back to Hwy 74. Note somehow it change routes on us from where it started.
  • JohnLoc843 I recommend splurging with a site next to the stream. It's pretty special having a campfire next to the stream at night.

CONS: $ 30 more to stay in what they claim is waterfront. We were the second site from the water and the large rigs parked in the first site blocked pretty much the entire water view. They don't seem...

Tip for Other Campers:

The Mexican restaurant downtown was pretty much mediocre, so I would avoid it. 10 minute walk to some ice cream and seafood restaurants, although we did not visit any. There is a Publix only about six minutes away.

Huge sites within a marina complex. Quite while here, but could see it getting rowdy if there was an event here. We camped at Causeway Cove Marina in a Motorhome.
