Tip for Other Campers:
Papa & Nonnas Pizzeria in Monticello was one of the best all meat pizzas weve ever had. And what a great salad bar for a small restaurant. Dont let the parking lot fool you. They are open & worth the stop.
“Easy overnight stop”

Super convenient park right off the highway. Nobody in the office, we didn't try to use any of the facilities. Staying in site 6, a gravel pull through long enough for our 41" trailer and truck. The...

Tips from campers about A Stone's Throw RV Park
- IamMugs Bring quarters if you want to shower. It's 25 cents for 7.5 minutes which is plenty for me but make sure you follow directions. Turn that hot water on at the faucet before getting in.2 years ago Wilderness Campground
- Sam Cryer Amish Bakery is always a fan favorite. John Muir Park is near for hiking and exploring. Montello is up the road a bit and is a cute town to visit and check out the locals.3 years ago Wilderness Campground
- Alice Oliver Very child/family friendly! Two lakes with great big blowup water parks in them, a pool, mini golf, shuffleboard, ice cream parlor, paddle boat rental, etc4 years ago Wilderness Campground

Self sufficient campground. The office is not staffed all day. We arrived at approx 3pm. Office was closed. It did open up around 4:30 or 5, though. Perfect for a safe overnight stay. Even though...

Overall it was ok. Full hookups, fairly level gravel site. Easy on/off the interstate. Fuel and fast food at the exit. This is a no frills rv campground. The dumpster was full. Staff responded to...
