“Peaceful. Quiet.”
Nightly Rate: $65 USD
A very low-key, low stress campground. A few things:1) The ground is soft, especially after a rain. My wife and I had to change campsites due to our RV's landing gear and stabilizers sinking into...

Watch for off-leash dogs. You might want to bring several 2x8 cutoffs so that your rig's stabilizers don't sink into the sand.
“New Owners, new facilities”
Nightly Rate: $50 USD
The most peaceful place to camp around Old Town Fl. The approach road has been graded to smoothness, new laundry machines, clean and fresh paint in showers, and new shower heads. Every site has a new...

Tip for Other Campers:
The Old Town Family Market has everything you need and only two miles away. Luigis Pizza has great pizza and lasagne. Shired Island Beach is no longer a state park (no facilities) but you can park on the road and let the dogs play on the long lovely beach.
Tips from campers about The Hideaway
- Jacqueline_85 Monterey has so much to see and do. Carmel by the Sea is very close too. We also did a driving tour down to Big Sur and Garrapata State Park. Point Lobos State Natural Preserve is lovely amd great for walks along the coast and wildlife viewing. Get there early to find parking in the park.2 weeks ago Monterey Elks Lodge #1285
- Jhammeras Must see Monterey attraction is the Aquarium. Cannery Row is fun for walking around. We like to eat at the Fish Hopper at Cannery Row and then stop at Ghirardelli's after for a sweet treat or hot cocoa. If you like history - look into the many adobes that have been preserved in town, including California's First Theatre and the Customs House that date back to early 1800s. You can even have dinner at the Stokes Adobe-now a restaurant. Drive 17 Mile Drive - it's beautiful along with the whole Pacific Grove coastline.2 months ago Monterey Pines RV Campground
- Bbkefike Take 17 mile drive, pack a lunch and spend the day in a beautiful beach area.3 months ago Monterey Fairgrounds

“Off the beaten path”
Nightly Rate: $80 USD
The campground is nice but overpriced. With all the fees, the nightly price was $80 for a full hook up with a grassy site. The best part about the Campground was the 1500 foot boardwalk leading to the...

Very nice, quiet, nice staff. Great boardwalk to the Suwannee river, lots of cypress trees. The grounds are very well kept and the sites are positioned for privacy and distance. Nice little country...
