Tip for Other Campers:

It is easy to access the Pinellas Trail without going out on busy streets. It is a 10 min drive to Madeira Beach and about 25 min to downtown St. Pete.

Travels with Tex Be sure to check out the Speakeasy Coffee house in downtown Quitman (about a mile away). An old hotel, brothel, dry goods store turned into a coffee house, meeting space. Mineola is about 320 minutes away and has a lot for the railroad fan, with an Amtrak station modeled after an old time depot and with a museum inside. And if you're coming in from I-20 on Hwy 69, look for the Cadillac Ranch east, just outside of Lindale.
