Tip for Other Campers:
Not a lot of attractions but the town is filled with history. We ate at Yesterday Cafe where the service and food was very down home. Their signature Buttermilk Pie is the big calling and I can attest - its great! Down the road is Crawfordville where there is Heavy's Bar B Que. A site you do not want to miss. Very hilly, terraced campsite roads. Provides great views of Lake Oconee, however. Fire rings and picnic tables provided. We camped at Lake Oconee / Greensboro KOA Holiday in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of home base camps from Travel Resorts It is a KOA. Most spots are hard to get in and out. Most areas are very steep and some spots are long term residents, they are not pretty sites....

Nice small towns to do some shopping or eating. At the entrance is a caboose Cafe, awesome coffee.
