“All the facilities of a typical Georgia State Park which are excellent.”
Nightly Rate: $45 USD
We liked camping here. The sites are spaced nicely so you do not look into the side of your neighbors camper. The restrooms are newer and nice. There are only a few sites on the small but picturesque...

Tip for Other Campers:
At the registration building, be sure to walk around the side where there is the prettiest walkway with benches to sit. There is a surprising overlook with beautiful distant hills. We were here in March when red bud trees and dogwoods were in bloom. Drive down that road, left as you leave the registration building and you will enjoy a very scenic highway...

Beautiful campground. Bath house needs updating. Camp store in the campground does have limited hours during February. We camped at F. D. Roosevelt State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips from campers about F. D. Roosevelt State Park
- Blaineo Go into campground five it is smaller and try and get a campsite on the outside the pull through and the back ends are much better than the inside sites, Calloway gardens is very near with tons of places to eat1 year ago F. D. Roosevelt State Park
- Dontin Whistle pig BBQ, and Fox Den Pizza were great. Wife did some Christmas shopping in several of the little shops in Pine Mountain. We mainly went to see the lights at Calloway Gardens and do some hiking.2 years ago F. D. Roosevelt State Park
- TravelingWilma540 At the registration building, be sure to walk around the side where there is the prettiest walkway with benches to sit. There is a surprising overlook with beautiful distant hills. We were here in March when red bud trees and dogwoods were in bloom. Drive down that road, left as you leave the registration building and you will enjoy a very scenic highway with pull outs. Of course, there is Callaway Gardens at your doorstep but we went to Columbus. Flat Rock Park is a wonderful area with a stream and waterfall, plenty of picnic tables, stone grills and nature trails. We also went to downtown Columbus and were amazed at the revitalization and the River Walkway. There is a food hall across from the walkway with lots of food options. The Chattahoochee River flows over huge boulders there, creating rapids. You can zipline across the river.1 week ago F. D. Roosevelt State Park

These questions & answers are the opinion of a RV LIFE' member and not the views of RV LIFE
Question:
RV Trip Wizard directs you to the back gate of the campground to enter but the Park website directs you to enter and register at the Visitors Center. Can you enter and register through the back gate? Also - is there enough room at the visitors center to park and turn back around with a 34’ trailer? It looks like a tight parking lot....
