Nightly Rate: $7 USD
This is a great place. Come with full water tanks (no where to fill water except a jug at a faucet). Clean flush toilets. Such cool sites. Its all FCFS, so arrive in the early afternoon, especially if...

The trails are awesome. Do the driving loop and hike some trails. Theres a trail from the campground as well. Read the rules if you want to go into the caves. You cant have on clothing or shoes worn in another cave recently.
Tips from campers about Craters of the Moon National Monument/Lava Flow Campground
- Dennis&Tami Read about their directions on their website. Very tricky if you didn’t know to turn left down the hidden access road between the Pilot and the repair garage. Tall sign only says RV Park. It may look easier during the day though. Of course, Nashville and Bowling Green have lots to do if you’re vacationing. But the park seems to have enough entertainment without leaving at all.4 years ago Dad's Bluegrass Music RV Park
- old blue jay Be sure to follow the directions on the parks website. The campground is located on the road between the Pilot (that has the subway) and Speedco. Its right next to the truck scales.3 years ago Dad's Bluegrass Music RV Park
- Wxman382 Lots to do around Franklin if you are into history. Enjoyed the Dueling Grounds Distillery.2 weeks ago Dad's Bluegrass Music RV Park

“Amazing lava field”
Nightly Rate: $8 USD
There are a couple long spots, but most are tent camping spots. We have a 21 ft trailer towed by a jeep grand cherokee and there might have been 10 or fewer spots we could fit into. Most spots were...

“Felt like we were camping on the moon!”
Nightly Rate: $27 USD
This is a first come, first served campground. We were there for 2 days and noticed it was mostly filled up by 4:00. If you are in a large RV or one with a tow vehicle, sites 1 and 2 are really your...

“Beautiful Dark Skies”
Nightly Rate: $7 USD
This is a well done National Parks system campground set in the lava fields. It is a darks skies level 1 location meaning it is as dark as it gets with minimal light pollution. The Milky Way shines...
