- cherib The timing of the Tidal Bore in Truro was early afternoon, so we went to that Discovery Park and watched it, including 2 locals who surfed up river. If you look at the end of the parking lot, there is an abandoned bridge foundation that I cautiously walked out on for my image. While the initial wave is not "huge", the overall river level rose substantially over the next 5-10 minutes.5 months ago Scotia Pine Campground
