Tips from campers about Canyon Springs RV Resort

  • Schloch6 There are local eateries available. Subway, Pizza Hut , Chuckwagon and a cozy little cafe called 2 MOMs Food & Drink
  • Escapeartist__370 The only local eatery went out of business. There is one nice local store selling lots of things and a quilting store plus the usual Dollar Store, but the town is a nice walk. One church (no longer in use) was built in 1885; some nice old homes to look at. Good place for biking. Also there was a made-at-home bake shop open Thurs through Sun. I wasn't there one of those days.
  • Trikki Rikki Dalton gang tunnel was silly, not original and leads to a tiny house with some period furnishings. Must return to gift shop to exit the tunnel. Highlight was the displays on the second floor of the gift shop. Many old farm implements, branding irons, saddles, taxidermy [including a two headed calf], and old weapons.

Close to the city of Caldwell, short drive to Walmart, other stores and businesses. Camping World and other RV services in Caldwell. Nearby Meridian and Boise. Boise is a beautiful town to visit; walkable downtown, easy to use transit system, parks, zoo, and Capitol building. Wonderful vistas from the Union station.
