This is not for bigger rigs as it has a serious egress problem. We are 55 feet long and 11.8 feet high and had to swerve around tree branches. The aisles are so small that there was no way for us to...

Tips from campers about Gem County RV Park

  • MARTIN EATON Of course Yellowstone is probably why youre looking in this area. It is only about ten minutes from this camp. We took many day trips into the park even once entering in the east entrance and exiting at the northeast entrance and driving through Montana and back into Cody, WY and then to the camp in one day. Speaking of Cody, WY make sure you have a couple days or more to spend there, especially if you enjoy the Wild West. You need two days to see the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum. The entrance fee is good for two days! It is actually five museums!!! And every night at 8pm the town hosts a rodeo.
  • MK_Willi Campground is 16 miles from the East gate so a good base to explore Yellowstone National Park, especially the Yellowstone Lake area.
  • RSerendipity Make sure to fill water tanks. No Dump station but Buffalo Bill State park up road to Cody, WY did have dump station for a fee. Great hiking in area, just do not forget Bear Spray. If in area do not miss the Buffalo Bill museum in Cody
