“Shady and on the river”
Nightly Rate: $40 USD
This is a great state park. Lots of shade, spacious sites (get a back-in) and lots of trails and wildlife. Unfortunately, the smoke from wildfires dampened our stay but that's not a fault of the park....

Tip for Other Campers:
The half-day Jet Boat tour with Snake River Adventures was great. Hubs had some good beer at Groundwork Brewery, which is very close to the state park. We were able to efficiently complete 2 weeks of laundry at Main Street Laundry early in the morning before we left.

Tip for Other Campers:
Try the GroundWork Brewery if you want good beer and a decent place to hang out for a couple of hours. Also, if you want to try the jet boats up Hell's Canyon, it's over $350 a person (after taxes, fees, tip, etc...) for the full day excursion. We declined to pay that much, but you may want to.
