“Beautiful campground with huge Ponderosa Pines but expensive if you are out of state”
Nightly Rate: $70 USD
The campground is nice they seem to be doing a lot of upgrades, though. They are building private homes along the park's Peninsula Trail, kind of sad the views to the lake will be hidden. The town of...

Go to Ridley's for groceries. It's only a couple of miles away and you'll avoid the crowds at the Albertson's.
“Very NiceState Park”

This was a pleasant surprise for state parks. Big sites, clean and well shaded. Restrooms and showers were tidy. Very nice boat launch. A little pricey for out of state folks but we had a nice visit....

Tips from campers about Ponderosa State Park
- Linball Definitely take the 2.3mi, very easy Waterton Park Townsite Loop trail. It passes by Cameron Falls, the beach, an overlook of the Prince of Wales hotel as well as the International Peace Park memorial. It took us about 45min and was simply lovely! Lower Bertha Falls trail was also a nice moderate trail. It continues on to Upper Bertha lake but that turns the 3.5mi tike into ~9mi hike and we didn't have the time. The hike up to the Lower Falls is really pretty with amazing views of the town and lake. We saw 2 black bear up in the hills above the trail! Bear's Hump is also a great way to overlook the town and view down the lake at all the mountains. While we were there it was a little smokey from all the wildfires but still nice.2 years ago Crooked Creek Campground
- DC873CF Cardston is the closest city, so shop for groceries, fuel, etc., there.8 months ago Crooked Creek Campground
- MJB Carriage Museum in Cardston, Waterton of course. Just across the border to Glacier NP in Montana.9 months ago Crooked Creek Campground
