“Lovely place to stay, great spots backing onto the river, some you have to reserve but a few FCFS.”

Beautiful place, loved camping very close to the river. Had power and paved sites. Lots of shade at some sites, more sun at others. Water spigots throughout the park too. Accommodated our motorhome...

Tip for Other Campers:
Very easy to drive right past as signage for the campground is non existent at the roadside of highway 12. There is a separate facility, Lochsa Lodge, that has signs posted but not the usual forestry campground sign most folks would be looking for. Restaurant at Lochsa Lodge has free wifi for guests and we visited to connect to family for updates on our...

BEAUTIFUL park, as one would expect for this neck of the woods. Our site was a pull aside spot and was paved. It had a small trail leading straight down to the river side which was great for cooling...

- Gma Linda Walk up to the Lochsa Lodge for a meal. If you have breakfast there, I do not recommend their french toast. Pancakes and cinnamon rolls are huge! We talked to our neighbors in the campground and they said their breakfast of eggs and biscuits were good.5 years ago Powell Campground
