Campsites 8, 11, 13 are the best in the campground. All are immediately adjacent to the lake and a lovely sandy beach. Single sites are $22 and doubles are $44.We stayed in 13 which has a low...

Tip for Other Campers:
Showers and laundry machines are available. To get there, you drive to the same parking lot as the trail riding place. It's very similar to the showers you see in Yellowstone/Teton. There's a sign so you will not miss the turn-off and the building also has signage (To be clear, the showers/laundry are just located in the same parking lot they have nothing...

What a beautiful area! The Sawtooth Mts are incredible! Woke up to snow on them. Hope to go back soon. We camped at Outlet Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips from campers about Outlet Campground
- User4389 Showers and laundry machines are available. To get there, you drive to the same parking lot as the trail riding place. It's very similar to the showers you see in Yellowstone/Teton. There's a sign so you will not miss the turn-off and the building also has signage (To be clear, the showers/laundry are just located in the same parking lot they have nothing to do with each other - you aren't showering in a horse stall). The cost is $2 for 5 minutes and after being on a horse for a couple of hours it's pretty nice to get cleaned up. The cost of firewood is $10 a bundle but the bundles are larger than the ones I've seen sold by other camp hosts. There is some firewood available in Stanley too. We rented a pontoon boat from the nearby resort and I suggest it as it was deemed the best activity by our group. The boat gives you access to a great hike to a "jumping rock" and a nice hike to a really impressive waterfall. The kids who rent the boats on the dock can give you tips and there are maps literally on the inside of the door of the pontoon boat (the door under the driver's position). We also did a morning 2 hr ride(Marshall Ridge Ride) with the Mystic Saddle Ranch (1.208.774.3591). I suggest a morning ride regardless of the ride you choose as it gets warm fairly quickly and things can get uncomfortable. Also, VERY IMPORTANT - get your reservations well in advance. The guides only handle 4 guests apiece so things fill up weeks in advance. Lastly, we did some fly fishing which turned out to be mostly I nice walk in the Salmon River. The StanleyFly Shop (also shown as Salmon River Anglers) (1.208.721.7151) is a great place to get flys or even rent gear. The owner was very helpful and did not try to "upsell" or "gouge" us at all. He can fill you in on where to fish in the river (we didn't follow his advice to my chagrin). The fishing licenses are sold by the Lower Stanley General Store (1.208.774.3566) which is just a few miles away from the fly shop.4 years ago Outlet Campground

The campsites are some of the best we've ever camped in. The pads are asphalt and level. The picnic tables were in great condition and they even had separate built-in cooking tables to set your...
