Tip for Other Campers:
The park is rather remote for eating out. We would not recommend it for any big rigs. Its old and OK for small rigs.

Tips from campers about Weldon Springs State Park
- Kellie Dunham We loaded up our bikes and parked at the State Park to ride the bike path.2 weeks ago Geronimo RV Resort
- ken&pattistravels If you manage to tire of being at the beach, there is so much to do within the area. We took ballroom dancing at Luna Ballroom, Eric (a five time world champion) and Patricia are wonderful people and amazing instructors. A bit farther away is Eden Gardens State Park, offering a nice escape into Camellia lined paths and easy hiking trails. For those desiring a more physical activity, there is pay-for Pickleball courts offered at the property next door, or free access to a court, which is about a mile away, at Legion Park. If you are like me and push activities beyond what my back is willing to tolerate, Payne Chiropractic is waiting to offer affordable and highly skilled adjustment and massage services. Within this storefront complex you find an outstanding coffee roaster, Maas Coffee Roasters of Destin. Finally, if you would like to learn how to make those sandcastles that make the news, connect with "Dan In The Sand", at dancastles.com and schedule a session where he takes you, and the family, through a sand castle building lesson. For those who want to eat where the locals go, Bud & Alley's waterfront restaurant is where they go for breakfast and lunch.3 weeks ago Camping On The Gulf

Tip for Other Campers:
Some historical sites nearby like old school house and inside is an Illinois museum. I liked it a lot. Clinton, small town shopping NE 3 miles. About 20 miles south is Decatur, IL for more shopping and hospitals with Pop. Of about 75,000.

This is a beautiful park. Some of the sites have great views of the lake. Lots of trees, and the sites are pretty spacious. Most were fairly level. Great trail that goes all the way around the...
