Tip for Other Campers:
The Parkside Tavern is right across the road from the park in easy walking distance, we didn't go there but it's busy most of the evening. Historical park was ok, easy walk from the campground.

Spacious forested campground. Not crowded. Within walking distance of New Salem historical area. Bathrooms OK. We camped at Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site-Campground in a Travel Trailer.
