- buck182 The Parkside Tavern is right across the road from the park in easy walking distance, we didn't go there but it's busy most of the evening. Historical park was ok, easy walk from the campground.

Not the best but not the worst park we've stayed in. Park was clean, could use some work on a couple dead trees in the campground, sites were kept up, Electric sites are fair, no issues with the 30amp...

Spacious forested campground. Not crowded. Within walking distance of New Salem historical area. Bathrooms OK. We camped at Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site-Campground in a Travel Trailer.
