“Caves are incredible!”
Nightly Rate: $30 USD
[Full time RVers] We camped at the state park so we could hike around the caves. We stayed at site 5 (right next to host). The gravel site was slightly unlevel, but not unmanageable for our 5th wheel....

“Beautiful small campground”
Nightly Rate: $30 USD
Nice site. Large enough, shaded and quiet. Beautiful hiking trails and caves to explore. We camped at Maquoketa Caves State Park in a Motorhome.

Tip for Other Campers:
Exploring the caves was a lot of fun. There are a lot of stairs but some of the caves are very close to the parking area. Others are farther away and trails can be challenging but if you can do a stairs, definately check out the first one.

We were here for just one night and glad we did. The site was mostly level and we could back up at the end of the site making it longer than described. Very quiet - no rail and road noise. We camped...

The signage is lacking cave hikes are a bit confusing. It was very hot/humid when we arrived, so having the next morning to hike was very welcomed as the weather was so much nicer.
“Nice little campground, but the caves are the real draw.”

Nice shaded campground, not very big. Level gravel pads, electric only but water is nearby (we could reach the hydrant to fill our tank at our site with a 50 foot hose). We camped at Maquoketa Caves...

Camped for 4 nights. Was worried about bathrooms and dump station being closed, as previous reviewers mentioned, but the park was fully functional when we arrived in early June. Water spigot was close...

Tip for Other Campers:
River Edge Brewing in nearby Bellevue was a great stop after hiking at Bellevue SP. A couple beers, a flatbread, and ice cream across the street.
