If you are traveling from the west on I-20, DO NOT drive I-20 through Shreveport/Bossier City. Heavy construction, lane closures, etc. Take the I-220 loop around the north. Tip for Other Campers:
Bring chocks, needed if you get a slopped pad. Held our breath when we unhooked. Auto level just made it. Sites do not have individual dumps. There's one on the way out.

We took ballroom dancing at Luna Ballroom, Eric (a five time world champion) and Patricia are wonderful people and amazing instructors. A bit farther away is Eden Gardens State Park, offering a nice escape into Camellia lined paths and easy hiking trails. For those desiring a more physical activity, there is pay-for Pickleball courts offered at the property next door, or free access to a court, which is about a mile away, at Legion Park. If you are like me and push activities beyond what my back is willing to tolerate, Payne Chiropractic is waiting to offer affordable and highly skilled adjustment and massage services. Within this storefront complex you find an outstanding coffee roaster, Maas Coffee Roasters of Destin. Finally, if you would like to learn how to make those sandcastles that make the news, connect with "Dan In The Sand", at dancastles.com and schedule a session where he takes you, and the family, through a sand castle building lesson. “Love this quiet park”

This park is one of our favorites as full-timers. It is so quiet and we love having the large wood deck on the premium site. Wish we had the lake to look out at. Great laundry - 2 washers/2 dryers....

Brookshire's grocery is in Minden 20 miles from park. Nice store. El Jimador restaurant in Minden is excellent.
“Absolutely Beautiful!”

I have no idea why the park was so empty. Even though the lake level was low, there is still so much to enjoy. A beautiful well kept park. We camped at Lake Bistineau State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Bistineau Steak and Seafood is just down the road and a great place for a bite. Great service and very friendly folks.
