Great barbecue and kayaking Cedar Keybis a great little town with family owned businesses and great kayaking. 30 minute drive!

  Jayc2640 Lots of fast food, 30 min from Cedar Key, maybe 40 min to Gainesville, 3 hrs to Tampa. Manatee Springs State Park is nearby, so if you get there early when the deeper water is cold, you can find manatees up close to the viewing platforms in the park.
