I stayed in the motel part, but the park is so welcoming and quiet...and the owner was very polite...if ever back in area, will stay for sure We camped at L'Acadie Inn and RV Park in a Cabin.
Tip for Other Campers:
Have a pond for fishing
Tips from campers about L'Acadie Inn and RV Park
- RamblinFritzs Get your provisions on your way because the roads make the drive to the store very long. The Blue Ridge Parkway was beautiful even in early spring and Meadows of Dan are worth the stop and shop.2 weeks ago Salthouse Branch
- Kathyva Nothing in the area, so pack all your groceries. If you want to venture out, the Philpott Visitors Center on the other side of the lake does have beautiful views of the lake and dam.8 months ago Salthouse Branch
- Danjayne We visited Mt. Airy, N.C. (Mayberry) which is about an hour away if you are a fan of the Andy Griffith show. The park has a beautiful lake although we did not utilize due to the crowds.10 months ago Salthouse Branch

Tip for Other Campers:
The campground recommended Rocky's Cajun Kitchen for dinner and it was the best Cajun meal we had including in NOLA. Rocky's was authentic Cajun and plentiful. Our only regret was we were not there on the weekend to enjoy the Cajun music.
