Tips from campers about Gilbert, LA
- rvhavinfun There is a beach about a mile and a half west of town. Several small museums, shops and grocery. It is a fishing, boating village. Closest large town with Walgreens and Walmart is in Crawfordville and Tallahassee is about 58 miles. Close to St.George Island for more beautiful beaches and about 60 miles to Cape San Blas.3 years ago Sunset Isle RV & Yacht
- mvintx For dining, Lynns Quality Oysters and seafood was great for raw oysters and shrimp and crab but they do not have fried entrees. The Red Pirate family grill is excellent but youd better get there early. We went Tuesday at 5:30 and the wait was 30 to 40 minutes. We got there at 4:30 the next day and there was no waiting but it was starting to fill up.8 months ago Sunset Isle RV & Yacht
- SillyAnn Carrabelle Beach is busy, but a nice long beach. There is a really nice wayside east on 98 outside of town. Not great beach access, but the swings were fun. This was our first visit in March. The No-See-Ums were ferocious. Bring bug spray!1 year ago Sunset Isle RV & Yacht
