Tips from campers about Stony Brook Recreation and Camping
- ETB The closest restaurant is the Lode Star Casino in Fort Thompson, about 3 miles from the campground. Lynn's Dakotamart is the closest market which is also in Fort Thompson. The Post Office in Fort Thompson does accept General Delivery. If you need something shipped General Delivery, besides USPS, United Parcel Service (UPS) is the only major delivery company that will delivery to the Post Office. Great spot to stay when visiting Maine. Close enough to go see Portland and Rockland, plenty of spots to check out locally too. Be sure to go see Height of the Land it's only about 45 minutes away....

Tip for Other Campers:
Some good restaurants close by in Bethel as well as a small local grocery store. Walmart not too far away in Rumford. Shopping in New Hampshire is about 45 minutes away....
