“Very peaceful”

We basically had the park to ourselves. Very shady We camped at Mount Blue State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
Hiked the Mount Blue Trail. It was very rugged with rocks and roots. Beautiful hike until it started to rain. Then everything got slippery and even more challenging. Signage to the trail isn't great. You'll think you're lost going down the narrow dirt road but eventually you'll see the trailhead.Drove to the bridge to see Mount Katahdin. Worth the...

Visit the lake. You can drive, but the walk along the trail is much quicker and enjoyable. Public toilets are "pit" toilets. No running water....

One large central shower house saw a lot of use, but adequate. We drove north to Rangely to visit friends for dinner one night, nice little town....

In Carthage, not far away, is Anjul's Heavenly Sundae - terrific ice cream and they have a kitchen as well - we really, really enjoyed the lobster rolls....
