Tips from campers about Assateague State Park
- PR and Pat Oliver Be sure to try the Greenbriar Restraunt. We had catfish and hush puppies. Great food but it is 20 to 25 minutes from the campground. Decatur is bigger than you might think and it is a long trip to Walmart.2 years ago Jay Landings RV Park

Tip for Other Campers:
There's just so much in OC and Berlin. They make an effort to have activities that bring in tourism throughout the off season as well as the summer. The beaches are great, www.ococean.com/events/ will tell you all about local events. Berlin also has a farmer's market every Sunday until 1pm with music and other events. Tip for Other Campers:
Go see the small town of Berlin ( 8 miles)for fun antique shops, historical downtown and great cafes and restaurants.
Come prepared for wind as it blows most of the time in October.

“Very quiet and beach Is just over the dunes. ”
Nightly Rate: $15 USD
Very quiet, beach just over the dunes and you have it all to yourself it seems. Wild horses roam the campgrounds. Fantastic place to camp! We camped at Assateague State Park in a Travel Trailer.
Tip for Other Campers:
Hard to get reservations here unless you stand on top of reservation system or know someone.
