Tips from campers about Fort Meade, MD

    • Bob & Sue - Michigan Don't miss the puffins in Elliston; hike the Skerwink Trail in Trinity East; check out the town of Trinity.
    • dgirvin Visit Bonavista for sure, but stop at Tickle Cove on the way to see the UNESCO Bioarch and to get a sense of a typical Nfld Outport. Trinity is not to be missed. We ate at the Twine Loft Restaurant in Trinity which was outstanding in every way - food, service, setting. If you're more into wild camping, there are lots of spots around the peninsula, including out in Bonavista where you can pull over, take in the view and spend the night.
    • djlottawa Ask for a lot on the water side for a view of the lake. Plan wisely for purchases in the area. Stores are somewhat limited. And the roads are winding so it takes time to get from one community to the next.
