Tip for Other Campers:
A butcher shop at the end of the road, which may or may not be part of the campground's family, was only open 2 days a week and did not do a great butchering job IMHO. The meat tasted great, but when I asked for an obscure cut, the butcher was clueless.
Tips from campers about Island Resort Family Campground & RV Park
- clifton brigdon Don't miss visiting the ghost town of Mogollon (pronounced "Muggy Yon") and the Catwalk in Glenwood. Well worth the walk at the Catwalk. Pack a lunch for the picnic area, it's serene. Make sure to bring plenty of cool drinkable water. There's no potable water at all three places.3 years ago Cosmic Campground

- Chuck_993 Alma and Glenwood are short drives and have general stores if low on supplies. During the day, go and visit the Catwalk and mining ghost town of Mogollon. Note on Mogollon: It is a 9 mile, 2,500 ft climb from the valley floor. While the 9 mile road is paved, the last 5 miles are single lane with a multitude of blind corners and sheer drops.11 months ago Cosmic Campground
