There is a casino, shopping, restaurants, etc in Ocean City. Go walk the boardwalk. Go to Assateague State Park and ride bikes and see the wild horses.
Tips from campers about Sun Outdoors Ocean City Gateway
- new FL camper Drive into Ocean City and walk the boardwalk. Note: if you have a dog, you cannot take your pooch on the boardwalk between April and October. There are many dog-friendly places along the area so we just walked along the next block over and came in that way to have drinks and dinner. Highly recommend Brass Balls Saloon (I know, crazy name. It's a crazy place!). Yummy drinks, reasonably priced, great service. Sit on the patio, get a boardwalk side table and watch the people go by and enjoy the ocean waves. This area is bustling but there are quite a few public parking areas.3 years ago Sun Outdoors Ocean City Gateway
- Jwhtng The best tip we can give is to get up early to get to the beach by 8:00 am (about 20 to 30 minutes away) to get a place to park. Stay on the beach till lunch, then grab food on the board walk, then head to the water park at the sister campground frontier town for the water park. The water park closed at 6:00 pm so then we headed back to the camp ground for dinner. Looking for a seafood buffet, go to Phillips at 2004 North Philadelphia Avenue, Ocean City, MD4 years ago Sun Outdoors Ocean City Gateway

Tip for Other Campers:
The far end near the lake did not have issue with flies or sewage smell like the front half. Campground is small enough you dont need a golf cart.
