Near Charlotte, where there is always something going on in town. We were there to see family but there was a blue grass festival at the fairgrounds.

- Retire In Love We loved the Sunrise Cog Railroad to Pikes Peak, hiked the stunning Garden of the Gods rock formations- Fun sampling the Manitou natural springs and the funky/artsy downtown eateries and shops- Make sure to book the Patron tours at the US Olympic and Paralympic Museum and Training Center!!! Village of Bellevue is reasonably close. Local market is small but clean. Highly recommend the local Riverside Cafe (drive into town, right at the light, cross the river). Good food, decent portions, reasonable prices. Homemade (by the owner) pies.

Air Zoo Museum in Kalamazoo has many old airplanes and interactive exhibits. Also exhibits for Apollo program and D-Day at Normandy. Gilmore Car Museum nearby has over 300 pristine antique cars.
