Nightly Rate: $35 USD
Great spot, location is right next to a massive factory. Some spots on the water front with an own patch of beach. Others deep in the forest. No electric hook ups, no water, no dumping station. Some...

Tips from campers about Fisherman's Island State Park
- JeanneWil445 Lake Placid is close by, and is a great place to explore and experience a true piece of American sports history. The drive around the area is stunning, and there are many opportunites for hiking around Whiteface Mountain and the Ausable River. I would suggest that you save the time you might invest in going to Santa's Workshop. His elves have not been as busy as they should have been.
- Flikker We used this as a base camp and toured Lake Placid, Whiteface Mountain, Santa's Workshop and all the other places in the area. Go to Jay, NY, about 10 miles east, to see the covered bridge. Walk below to the rocks and water/rapids. Very relaxing. Lake Placid and the Olympic stuff. The North Pole and Santa, never too old to see that. Lots of hikes. A wonderful place in New York.

“Miles of beautiful beach”
Nightly Rate: $20 USD
This is a rustic campground with only vault toilets and hands pumps for water. No electricity. No sewage dump. It is spread out along several miles of Lake Michigan shoreline. The beach has both...

Definitely go to the beach at the far south end of the park. There is parking if you arent up for the walk. The town of Charlevoix is cute with shops and restaurants, a band shell for concerts, marina, etc. Traffic there can get congested because of the lift bridge on the highway. Take a walk to see the mushroom houses. (Large and small rock houses with...

Pretty rustic campground, but so pretty. Right on Lake Michigan, lovely to watch the sunset! We camped at Fisherman's Island State Park in a Motorhome.
