Very happy with our three-day stay. Very sandyjust a warning to bring wipe off mats and brooms. Full hook up was nice; water was city water so no odd tastes. Owner guided us to our site and helped us...

Dirt lot and not close to level. Save money and stay at the state park. Much prettier with nicer lots. Management followed me told me to go slow even though I was with feet on the ground. Followed...

Hi Jeremy, When you entered our park, you blew by our checkpoint. We did not know who you were. I got a radio call that someone on a motorcycle was speeding into the campground. I saw you and attempted to catch up with you on my golf cart. It was not until you stopped in the complete opposite side of the campground that I caught up with you. You stopped in our seasonal section. I asked where you were going in such a hurry and if you were a seasonal guest visitor. No one told us the night before to expect you, so for all we knew you did not belong to the park. You mentioned site 37, so I escorted you, like I do all our guests on first arrival(ask your son) to your site and then mentioned to remember to keep it 5mph within the campground. That was our only and last interaction with you. Being a biker has nothing to do with it. We have lots of bikers, ORV, etc here. Fact was you were going way to fast and not stopping to say what site you belonged to. I wish you well on future trips; AL

Tips from campers about Countryside Campground

  • rayschilke Lots of nature and attractions to see in this area of the Smokies. A dream place for motorcycle riders. It is an hour drive to more that could be seen in a week.
  • Lkldawg1 Review their website for driving routes to get there!
  • DaBoo My advice? Plan multiple Teaberry Hill trips (or spend a month ;-)). That way you have more time to spend at the camp and also explore the area (we had planned a motorcycle trip everyday for the week, I wish I would've had a day or two of just "camping" or rafting or tubing...). We enjoyed some new local back roads (many of them) for motorcycling (of course there's the Tail of the Dragon - giggle fun, but there's more roads to explore!). Fontana Dam was a well spent stop. For me, it was worth taking the time going back to Townsend: go 'up' the tail, drive the entire Foothills Parkway (all the way to end), drive back down 321 to eat in Townsend and then ride down the Little River Gorge Road - it has been my favorite road for many years. We did go "full circle" through Cherokee back to Teaberry Hill - but that was a very long day or riding - stunning - but long.

Tip for Other Campers:

They had stuff for the kids to do. Nice playground and heated pool. They have a weekend hayride. They give you a list of all local stores, restaurants with address and phone numbers.
