“Great place if you are looking to play golf”
Nightly Rate: $49 USD
This is a small RV park with an attached golf course (nice). The sites are concrete and fairly level, pretty close together. Nothing special, but good for the price. We camped at Thunder Bay Golf &...

Tips from campers about Thunder Bay Golf & RV Resort
- GTSeattle Randle is closest town down the bumpy road. This park is one of the closest to the north side of Mt St Helens National Monument.7 months ago Tower Rock U-Fish RV Park
- RideSlow2004 Cruisers Pizza in Packwood was awesome, Sourdough Bacon Cheeseburger. Layser Cave, an abandoned Native American encampment, is a short drive and hike away. Windy Ridge Drive, the closest view to Mt. St. Helens is in the area, seasonally open. Lots of FS roads for exploring and riding.5 years ago Tower Rock U-Fish RV Park

Tip for Other Campers:
We went to several towns that are about an hour or less from the campgrounds. I highly suggest Alpena if you like to walk around the towns. We went to Petosky and Harbor springs to ride our motorcycles on the trail of trees, Mackinaw City (two expensive and very busy), Rogers City (stop and purchase meats at Phath's meat market, the bacon is awesome and go...

“Clean beautiful golf course ”
Nightly Rate: $50 USD
Very clean well maintained grounds but no kid activities if you have little ones. Mostly for retired campers who enjoy a game of golf. We camped at Thunder Bay Golf & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We did the Alpena Shipwreck tour and it was amazing to see. The museum is free and the tour was reasonably priced....
