“Very private and wooded”
Nightly Rate: $30 USD
We enjoyed our stay. It was a great park with trails and a lot of parks and beaches in the area. We camped at Platte River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The sites of the Dunes in the park on the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive was our favorite.

Beautiful sites with lots of space. One of the nicer SP / NP campgrounds Ive ever been to. We camped at Platte River Campground in a Motorhome.

- Baker0517 Beware of fishermen on the bridge at night. We arrived from the east (Satterwhite to Nutbush) after dark and the guys lining the narrow bridge startled us. There were quite a few of them.11 months ago Kerr Lake SRA - Nutbush Bridge Campground

Platte River floating can be done right to the mouth of the river on Lake Michigan, and to the north you can visit the dune climb area as well as one of the country's largest historic rural districts.

Definitely check out the Sleeping Bear Dunes Overlook in the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive. Check out where the Platte River flows into Lake MIchigan and look for Petosky Stones.
