“Beautiful treed setting, clean bathhouse, great communication ”
Nightly Rate: $52 USD
We stayed in site #1 for several nights in October. Were hoping to see the Northern Lights from Eagle River (25 minutes away). This is a very nice campground. The sites are graveled and level and with...

Stayed 6 nights. Had been unable to reserve Ft Wilkinson SP and so glad we stayed here instead. 15 peaceful campsites. 4 full hookups. 2 super clean bathrooms and a handicap shower area that was so...

- Teddy V Jamsen's Bakery &Coffee had Thimbleberry Turnovers that were the best turnover pastry I have had. Went back 2 extra days for coffee, turnovers and fresh apples. Fisherman's Daughter had good quality stone jewelry /copper at best prices in area. Visit ALL the rock shops. They are all different/all informative. My favorite was the Keweenaw Agate Shop on the main drag. This shop opens late and closes early however gave the best info for newbies /had reasonable prices. Ft Wilkins has a nice historical site and worth a quick walk through. Minnetonka Resort had some really neat stuff. Brockway Mountain summit at sunset is mouth drop gorgeous. If possible, stay and see the Aurora. Went every night for cell signal as well to prevent another silver alert. Any beach in this area is a rockhound paradise. Lake Superior will decide if it will be a good day or a what was I thinking day. Perfect calm or 5 to 8 ft. waves. My favorites were Lighthouse Viewing deck beach, Hunter's Point Park and any public beach between Copper Harbor and Eagle River. For a day trip, take 26 to Eagle River stopping at Eagle Harbor Inn for lunch (yum) and drive back to Copper Harbor on 41. Lots to see (Lake Superior, rockhound beaches, lighthouses, or copper mines) and a nice drive. Estivant Pines is another 1/2-day worth doing when not rockhounding. IF YOU ARE AN ADRENALINE JUNKIE, have an off road 4wd TRUCK that you don't mind getting wet and dirty, or have an ATV you really like or hate... a day trip to High Rock Bay is even better than what the road to Crisp Point Lighthouse used to be before they ruined it by upgrading it. This was a total nightmare for me and my wife LOVED it. Afterward I can say how great it was going through 'puddles' deep enough to fish in, a stream with flowing water and bumpy gravel and sand roads that rattled my jaws. At the end was scenic Lake Superior, untouched agate beaches and other crazy off-roaders/ boon dockers/ rockhounds.2 months ago Wilderness Resort LLC

The park was nice and quiet. No cell service at all for T-Mobile. The Wi-Fi worked, but it was very slow. The driving instructions from Trip Wizard took us down the wrong road. It was Mandon Road, a...

“Trip Wizard took us to the wrong road.”

Trip Wizard took us to Mandan Rd instead of Gay Lac Labelle Rd off of Hwy 41. Mandan Rd is a very rough narrow dirt Rd with low hanging branches. You cant get to the CG from that Rd. Two vehicles cant...
